Instead of Cutting — Add

It’s making the news not just here in Minnesota but across the country:
Call it “new math” if you’d like but the key to keeping schools open is adding programs, not cutting them.
As budgets and funds dwindle now is the time for greater efficiencies. This does not mean spend, this means a focus on using the resources that currently exist in a new manner.
Use Existing Technology
That’s right. While more technology may be better, existing technology is readily available. In fact, research is clear that schools and students (yes, even outside of school and yes, most every student) have access to the Internet.
Leverage School Strengths
By utilizing and capturing in-house talents schools build their repertoire of resources and lessen reliance on outside consultants.
At the risk of sounding too much like an advertisement and incorporating blatant self-promotion, Professional Learning Board can help schools alleviate financial bleed.
