I really liked the examples used. It might be nice to include even more ""real"" examples of how to implement PBIS into classrooms.

I have heard most of this before, but it was very helpful to hear it again.
Even though I didn't learn much new information, it is always good to be reminded how to handle stressful student interactions. I found this course hit on the items my district teaches with the PBIS model.

It was good.
I thought that the course was very informative. It was a great introduction to dealing with behaviors in a way that is positive and yet reinforcing of the rules and what you expect from the kids. It covers a lot of information about how you should speak to the children and what you should say to them and how you should say it so that you don’t make them feel bad, embarrass them, or go into a power struggle. It also had things in there about diverting their attention and how a child’s surroundings can induce the type of behavior they are having. There was a really good section on getting to the root of the behavior and understanding that what may be causing the behavior may be something totally different than how they are reacting to it or what you believe it to be, such as acting out while doing homework because they actually don’t understand it or are having a hard time doing it. The course also touched on some things with VIPs and some sensory issues that we wouldn’t even think of they may be having that are causing behaviors. I have to say that I have noticed myself implementing these strategies daily and have noticed myself speaking to the children in different ways when situations may get escalated and approaching issues with the kids in a different way by staying more calm and really talking it out with them without getting so stern and letting them know that they have a choice and that they can act a certain way, but this will be the consequence of that action, and that they can act another way and this will be the consequence of that action. The course, if nothing else, makes you think about how you are approaching and handling behaviors because you may not know where it is coming from or really caused by.

I absolutely love your content and how like with the classroom management it talks about and compares what is almost common place in the class room and explains why it does not work.
