Self-paced seminar replacement courses in which you study the course content and complete a quiz in order to earn a certificate of completion.
	Cognitive Skills -Understanding Learning Challenges We all know brain plays a major role in learning, but few are aware of how. In a class where each child differs in his ability to learn, it is essential that educators know how the brain is related to the process of learning, in order to help facilitate student performance. Such knowledge will also give the educator an advantage when faced with the challenge of teaching a child with special needs.	15 Hours
	Reading Across the Curriculum Equips teachers to support student learning through better reading and comprehension across the curriculum and grade levels. Reading should be a meaningful activity that is focused on comprehension and that results in understanding. When students struggle with a specific subject matter the underlying reason is nearly also identified as under developed reading skills. The strategies in this course are imperative for all educators to help their students become proficient readers.	15 Hours
INSTRUCTOR FACILITATED COURSES
Instructor led courses in which you interact with both the course content and an instructor to gain a deeper understanding and application of the subject in your teaching practice. The learning interactions occur asynchronously, at your convenience, and over a period of 4 weeks with approximately 1 lesson per week.
	Accommodating All Learners Addressing accommodation, modification, and adaptation of curriculum, materials, and instruction to appropriately meet the needs of teachers and a variety of students.	15 Hours
	Bullying: The Golden Rule Solution Enables teachers to help students respond effectively to verbal comments. Includes video role plays that model and demonstrate methodologies.	15 Hours
	Cognitive Skills – Understanding Learning Challenges Discover methods for detecting weak cognitive skills in students and strategies to strengthen such skills.	15 Hours
	Integrating Standards in Teaching Untangle what turns out to be the not-so-mysterious language of today’s teaching and learning and put successful strategies, including the Common Core, into practice.	15 Hours
	Introduction to Autism Understand what learning and interactions are like for a student with Autism while also learning to accommodate and teach students with Autism in the classroom.	15 Hours
	Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies Focuses on strategies that can be used to encourage and motivate students to behave appropriately in the classroom. Covers group and classroom management, non-compliance, defiance, impulsiveness, hyperactivity, attention and motivation.	15 Hours

	Spanish for Educators A primer for Non-Spanish speaking teachers to communicate with students and their families who speak Spanish as a first language.	15 Hours
	Tackling Tough Text Help students to tackle difficult text and understand it better. The strategies in this course help improve learning comprehension and are applicable to all subjects.	15 Hours
	Teaching English Language Learners Improve cross-cultural understanding and examine cultural influences on school practices while coming away with greater insight on how second languages are acquired.	15 Hours
	Web Technology for Teachers Use web-based tools including blogs and RSS feeds to develop professionally while enhancing instruction and transforming classrooms into true 21st Century learning environments.	15 Hours

Facilitated Courses
Instructor led courses in which you interact with both the course content and an instructor to gain a deeper understanding and application of the subject in your teaching practice. The learning interactions occur asynchronously, at your convenience, and over a period of 4 weeks with approximately 1 lesson per week.
Graduate Courses – COMING SOON
Instructor facilitated classes that incorporate online content, a textbook and interactions with an instructor. Graduate credits are issued in semester credits. The learning interactions occur asynchronously, at your convenience, and over a period of 4 weeks with approximately 1 lesson per week.

Teachers use Professional Learning Board online professional development and continuing education courses to renew their teaching licenses and earn in-service credits to apply for salary increases.
