New School Year

The beginning of a new school year is always busy. It’s a crazy time of the year for teachers when everyone is trying their best to get everything in place for the new class. There are some things about that time that just can’t be changed, and a lot of things that can’t be done beforehand.
As you wind things up in your classroom this year, I want to encourage you to give a second thought to how you pack up. Is there a way that you can do it so that it will save you time when you set up your classroom for the next year? Sometimes 10 extra minutes spent in sorting or packing can save an hour, at a later point. Additional packages, labels, and making an inventory couldgo a long way in helping come fall.
Of course, some of you are super-organized and must have all this already done. If you are one of those teachers, I encourage you to share with us what has worked for you, and how you prepare for the next school year.
Let’s all go for an organized and stress-free new school year!
What are some wind down strategies that you use to make it easier to set up once the new year begins?
