Time for Little Things

Check Out the New Blog TimeforLittleThingsI just noticed the other day that there are often things in my home that I have kept for a specific reason, but don’t actually use. These are the “in-between” things. Things that aren’t useless enough to get thrown, and at the same time aren’t useful the way they are. For example, a nice dress with a broken button, a photo frame without a picture, or an appliance without batteries. I have to be cautious so that these things don’t just pile up little by little, and without even realizing it become clutter that doesn’t serve a purpose.

This week, I’m going to work on some of these easy tasks that never get done. Buying batteries, fixing buttons or ordering photo prints for my empty photo frames. I’d like to encourage you to look around and see if there are easy tasks in your classroom or home that have been waiting for a long time. Maybe over the remainder of the summer and before the school year starts is a great opportunity to get some of these tasks done.

What are some strategies that you use throughout the year to reduce clutter?
