Unique and Special

When we visit a person’s home, we can see so much of their personality. If they love reading, we tend to see books everywhere. If they love painting- we will see art. And if they love people, we will feel warm and invited. We tend to do that in our homes because we truly believe that it’s ours.
Sometimes we forget that the best thing that we can give to the students who we work with is ourselves. Our lives, our actions and our personality is what will influence them the most. This week, I encourage you to reflect on what your best quality is. Maybe its organization, maybe friendliness, maybe hospitality. And then, I’d like you to think about how you are using it in your classroom, making it unique and special.
At the same time, we all have qualities that we don’t want reflected in our classrooms. I encourage you to think about those too.
