Course Description:

This online course on using visuals in learning is filled with tools and resources that teachers can learn and implement in the classroom. With it’s practical focus, this course coaches teachers to use a range of visuals including technology tools, videos, bulletin boards and classroom projects.
It has been said that 80% of what people learn is visual. Visual aids help to take learning beyond words and into real-life application. This online course aims to help teachers use visuals in the classroom.
Teachers will learn to identify students who are preferential visual learners and discover ways to improve their learning. Classroom strategies enable teachers to design visual aids that are both non-tech and technology-based. Teachers will find ideas that help develop 21st century visual communication skills. Filled with tips and tools for teachers to use across the curriculum including Math, English, Science or History.

Objectives & Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Expand their repertoire of visual aids.
• Connect with and teach visual learners.
• Develop activities that encourage and build visual literacy.
