Pictures, and words

As we work on developing e-learning content, I often find that information can be communicated more effectively through pictures than any other method. The old saying that a picture can say a thousand words, is still true, and even more so, in this age of social networking.
In our own classrooms, how do we use pictures to teach new information, stimulate creative thinking or create interest?
Discuss here: This week, we have a fun activity for you. Could you think of a caption for this image that would be memorable or maybe even teach something?
I love this photo, and I can see that it could get kids brainstorming some pretty interesting captions. Here are a few ideas for a caption:
*Who’s supposed to be getting the bath here?
*Oh, great! Here we go again! Glad I’m wearing my fur coat! That’s cold water!
*It’s raining . . . it’s pouring . . . my bath is really boring! The kids are wet . . . . and I’ll just bet . . . . it’s me that they’re ignoring!
*Bathtime! Smathtime! What’s all the excitement about?
