When Students Misbehave
Posted by Network Support · Leave a Comment
It is not always easy to navigate conversations with parents when students misbehave. I remember when I taught classes at a middle school. A student told an inappropriate, almost racy, joke in class. He knew it met with my disapproval and told me he thought it was funny. I asked him what his mother would think of it. He suggested that his mother would also be entertained. Not wanting to keep his mother from such joy, after class I had the student call his mother and share the joke with her immediately.
The results? The young man became very focused and attentive in class.
