One doesn&#8217;t realize the role that it plays in ensuring efficient student development.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Some of the positives of setting standards are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">Accountability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> Standards hold <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\">teachers, schools and the districts <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\">responsible for what goes on in classrooms. <\/span>It helps to generate a process of accountability.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">Achievement<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Setting standards helps ensure <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\">that <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"> higher levels of learning can be attained. It helps teachers improve on the existing system by aiming for a higher achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">Assessment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">It guides teachers in assessing what the student knows or how they can manipulate and apply the information. Once a standard is set, it is easier to compare the student to the standard they are expected to achieve and grade them accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small\">Transparency<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Setting standards in schools enables a clear communication and publication processes for everyone involved in child education.
