Therefore the concept of video games for learning can be developed in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Studying games,<\/li>\n<li>As a teamwork project,<\/li>\n<li>Delivering content with games, and<\/li>\n<li>Using games to leverage other skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Games can be used as new fiction and non-fiction narratives. It can help us integrate technical writing, literary elements, six traits, internet research, multimedia, planning, and oral presentation, as well as cooperative work &#8211; and align with Language Arts and Media Technology Standards.<\/p>\n<p>It can be used as models and simulations for developing scientific habits of the mind. The STARLOGO free software from MIT allows you to develop scientific habits of the mind that do science with mathematical modeling &#8211; the easy way! You can use this video game by creating models, simulations, and crazy computations. You can also sample and play with many pre-created models.<\/p>\n<p>Another method of using video games for learning is by utilizing them as tools for multimedia production such as Machinima.<\/p>\n<p>How can you use video games to enhance the learning in your classroom?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\nGames by their very nature assess, measure, and evaluate.
