Declaration of Independence

Check Out the New Blog Today is more than July 4th for those of us in the United States of America. Happy Independence Day!

But what exactly does that mean? Well, as history would dictate Independence Day is about when our nation’s founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence officially proclaiming the thirteen colonies separation from Great Britain and making the following words from the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence famous to generations of oppressed people across the world:

    “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
