How Can I Creatively Present a Chain of Events in a Bulletin Board?

Check Out the New Blog L2_chainofeventsBulletin boards are a wonderful way to display a sequence of events. This could be the steps of a science experiment, reinforcing a procedure for reading or writing tasks, or teaching a specific chain of events related to the subject matter.

The steps are presented one after the other, and usually have arrows connecting the them.

A sequence or chain of events could also be presented in other formats creatively. To brainstorm further, think of images where there are many components one after the other. Our eyes will naturally follow a specific sequence.

L2_chain_creative3In addition to the ideas described here, some other images that could be adapted to present a sequence of events are:

Coaches of a train
Students standing in line
Floors of a building
Cars standing in line

The idea of the stairs representing each step can be customized further to make it even more interesting, perhaps you might have rectangular blocks instead of just the stair line. You could also put symbols or icons on each of the stairs to represent that step.

Another idea is to put a picture depicting success right on the top.

The ice cream cone here has been used to present the steps to making a painting. In this case, notice that an arrow has been added to guide the viewer’s eyes in the right direction. The title in this case, has been written on the cone, but it could also be written on the top, if you wanted the reader to read the title first.
