How Many Hours of Sleep Does a Student Need?

According to the Sleep Foundation, children between 5 and 12 years of age need approximately 11 to 12 hours of sleep. Teenagers require 8.5 – 9.5 hours of sleep. How many of your students get the amount of sleep they need?
Adults need 7 – 9 hours of sleep. Do you get the amount of sleep that you need? Do you need to organize your own day a little better to make sure you get the sleep you need? Chronic lack of sleep can make a person tired, make it difficult to concentrate and result in poor decision making. It also lead can lead to serious medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. On the other hand, regular sleep boosts a person’s immunity, helps us, and our students, stay mentally healthy and keeps people fit.
