Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies

It’s important for us all to reflect and remember our greatest victories within our profession. This helps us to be aware of what created the success and examine practices for improvement. It’s also a phenomenal way to gently remind ourselves when we’re feeling a little down: “I’ve done something similar like this before, I can make it happen again.”
With course development in mind, I was thinking about which one of our teacher courses is the most popular one. It’s not easy to determine because each online course has been on the web for a different amount of time. So I started looking at the most amazing feedback we get and attempted identifying which course every teacher found extremely useful. How do you determine the success of your lesson plans, bulletin boards or classroom projects?
We’ve had a lot of popular courses at PLB and one which stands out is the PBIS or the Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies course. I think the reason for its popularity is that it addresses an issue that every single teacher faces no matter which grade or subject. The course helps the teacher gain confidence in handling multiple types of classroom behavior issues and provides tons of teaching strategies and ideas.
Just in case you want to take a look, the PBIS course is available through the month of April at 1/2 price.
Think about your own teaching successes. What lesson or activity stands out and why do you consider it a success?
