The Great Outdoors

Two little boys building large sandcastle on the beach

Summer is a great time of the year to get out and see the great outdoors. In today’s world we are so entertained by music, media and our cellphones that we don’t take out time often enough to interact with nature. This summer, look at ways that you can get out, and inspire the students in your class to do so as well. Build a treehouse, go hiking, create sand-sculptures or paint sunsets. While planning activities for your classroom, see how you can incorporate nature walks or field trips and outdoor games and projects.

We’d love to hear your stories.
